An intermediate-to-advanced heirloom project featuring a highly functional, compact hallway chair. Given the exceptionally shallow 12-inch depth, the design utilizes traditional mortise-and-tenon frame construction, angled rear legs to maximize backward stability, and a rigid box sub-frame using thick corner blocks to compensate for the structural interruption created by the under-seat drawer. Materials are FAS grade hardwoods with Baltic Birch plywood used for the drawer box core.
